Community Development Network (CDN) is a registered Cameroonian non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization under Decree No 023/RDA/B15/A2/SAAJP and Incorporated as a 501c3 in Boston, MA, in the United States.

CDN was created to support rural development challenges and to promote the aspirations of the poor, vulnerable and marginalized population of Cameroon. CDN mobilizes collective action towards sustainable livelihoods and aims at the capacity building of the underprivileged and vulnerable rural communities (children, youths, and women) and improve life in the community.

Community Development Network mobilizes and enhances the capacities and living standards of the needy communities in Cameroon whilst holding absolute hope to change lives through a participatory and sustainable manner, promote human development, and tackle poverty through advocacy and service delivery at the community, local and national levels.

Our organization works in partnership and collaboration with other organization and communities in facilitating initiatives in nonformal education, healthcare and sanitation, capacity building, youth and women empowerment and promoting a clean environment. Community Development Network also focuses on encouraging development endeavors by providing an enabling environment and active participation of the community in the development process.

Our target groups are women, youths, children, disabled persons and minority groups because of the many challenging issues surrounding their growth and development especially in this part of the world.

Mr. Achem is a student researcher and pursuing an advanced Masters in Development Evaluation and Research at the Institute for Development Policy and Management Antwerp (Belgium). He has professional experience in public administration, monitoring, evaluation and research both in the private sector as well as the humanitarian world. He worked as project Assistant for the Integrated Social Assistance Program with the Catholic Relief Services in Cameroon. Mr Achem is a graduate from the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC) with a Master in International Relations Cooperation, humanitarian Action and Sustainable Development. His specialties: International Relations, Financial Management, Human resource Management, Logistics environmental management and Sustainable Development.
Mr Naa works with Afriland first Bank as operations and logistics manager. He has a background in Management of Information Technology Networks from the La SALLE INTERNATIONAL University in TUNISIE. He studied Economics and Management at the University of Buea in Cameroon and has held several positions with Information Technology companies in Cameroon and Abroad. He is passionate about his work and devoted to commit his efforts to support development in Cameroon. His interests include travelling, music, football and fashion designing.
Mrs. Josephine Njieko works as a Geriatric nurse and studied Comprehensive Health Academic as a Nurse (LPN). She is currently working with Second Family Inc with special needs children who are mentally and physically challenged. She has dedicated her time and effort advocating for youths in the fight against Cancer with Patcha Foundation, as a Mother who lost her only daughter from Ovarian Cancer at age 22.
Ms. Elangwe is a Lawyer and a Human Rights Defender with an ardent desire to ensure the protection and promotion of human rights. Ms. She is Students Services Coordinator for the Graduate School at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Elangwe has worked with the United Nations in Cameroon and Rwanda; Ms. Elangwe is a graduate of University of Buea, Cameroon with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B., Honors), University of Yaoundé II, Cameroon with a Maitrise en Droit and Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis IN with a Master of Laws (LL.M., Cum Laude). She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at UMES. She was a member of the Immigration Clinic and also worked with Catholic Charities in providing pro bono immigration legal services to low-income immigrants in Indiana, Washington DC metropolitan area and New Orleans, LA. Ms. Elangwe loves to sing, play scrabbles, watch soccer, socialize and travel.
